My Whitby studio provides a flexible space for portraits and other commissions. Located in a Georgian townhouse in the centre of Whitby, surrounded by stunning architecture, you can combine a visit to this lovely town with the treat of a photoshoot.

Using a pop-up studio, portrait sessions can be set up in your own home. With portable lighting, a variety of lighting moods can be created. Alternatively, natural or artificial lighting of your home may be utilised to create beautiful portraits.

A location portrait can say who you are, what you do and what you enjoy. It could be at a special place; be it your home, your place of work or a place of fond memories. It may offer certain aesthetic qualities, which embody an aspect of your personality, a particular quality of light or atmosphere, style of art or architecture, or simply a nice view. If required, supplementary lighting can be utilised, using portable studio equipment.

Recording those special moments are so important as your child grows up. Having taught all ages from primary to sixth-form, I am highly experienced in working with young people. I have enhanced DBS. Please note that anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult throughout the photoshoot.

Celebrate special relationships with loved pets, either in my studio, at your home or at a chosen location.

Whether you are a party of friends, a band, a performance troupe or a sports team, candid or formal portrait sessions can be arranged at indoor or outdoor locations.

Recognising how essential it is to convey a professional image, my Whitby studio or a portable studio can be used for corporate headshots. Alternatively, natural light headshots or location shoots are available for businesses.

I provide exceptional quality headshots for performers, which will get you noticed by casting agencies. Shoots are usually in my studio and location shoots are also available. After the shoot, I provide a wide range of proofs, from which you can select a number for careful and meticulous retouching. I do all of the retouching; producing beautifully natural images.

I love to capture a couple’s special day and provide a bespoke service to suit their needs. From large to small weddings, elopements and engagements, I will work with you to plan the photography for your day and provide excellent service to capture those special memories. I work with a number of theatre and dance companies to produce promotional imagery, programme headshots as well as performance photography. I will work with you to plan and implement the shoot to produce creative and stunning images for print, social media and other promotional materials.

A major part of my work is documentary photography, involving documenting events and the progression of major engineering projects. If you would like me to provide a one-off or regular documentary record of an event or work that you do as a business or individual, I provide a professional, reliable and bespoke service, along with a managed gallery of images for you to access.

If you have another subject, which you would like me to photograph, I am happy to take on other commissions (such as home interiors and exteriors, gardens or prized possessions). Please contact me for pricing and to discuss your requirements.

After the photoshoot, your photographs will be carefully edited to achieve beautiful compositions, style and consistency.

As well as natural colour, you might like some or all of the images to be processed in a classic black and white style or another characteristic aesthetic.

When complete, your images will be uploaded to a secure personal Pixieset gallery. From there, you can download, save and share them with friends and family.
