Professional quality and service

General information about all packages

All packages include the photoshoot, professional processing and uploading of full-resolution images for you to download via a personal, secure ‘Pixieset’ gallery. Preferred payment is via BACS (payment details are on the invoice). I also take PayPal, cards and cash. Prints are purchased separately. Orders for high-quality prints and framing may be made via the Pixieset website. Printing is fulfilled by Loxley Colour, who will post the prints to you.

* The local area is defined as the region within 20 miles of Whitby. For shoots further than this, I charge travelling expenses (45p per mile).

Classic Studio portrait shoot

£100.00

Classic portrait shoot for individuals, couples and small families at my Whitby studio. ‘Rembrandt-style’ lighting and a choice of backdrops as standard. Other lighting styles available. Takes approximately 1 - 1.5 hours. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Headshot shoot

£120.00

Bespoke headshot session at my Whitby studio, tailored to the requirements of your business, casting agency, etc. Perfect for individuals in business or performance. A wide range of images provided as proofs to select from and keep. Meticulous and natural retouching as required for approximately 5 images (an additional charge may be made for retouching of more than 5 images). Takes approximately 1.5 – 2 hours. Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.

Home/Workplace classic portrait shoot

From £200.00

Classic portrait shoot for individuals and couples at their own home or workplace. ‘Rembrandt-style’ lighting and a choice of backdrops as standard. Other lighting styles available. Takes approximately 1 to 1.5 hours.

Full Studio portrait shoot

From £150

Bespoke portrait shoots at my Whitby studio or at your home/workplace, which involve varied or complex lighting setups and more complex editing. Duration and number of images will depend upon your requirements and editing time.

Location portrait shoot

From £130.00

Meet for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours at an agreed location (*), which could be your home, garden, park, local beauty spot, workplace etc. The surroundings will be the backdrop. For individuals, couples, families or small groups (up to 6 people). For formal (posed) and/or informal (staged or candid) shots.

Group session

From £180.00

Meet for approximately 1 to 1.5 hours at an agreed location (*) for shots of your group (more than 6 people). For formal (posed) and/or informal (staged or candid) shots.

Lifestyle session

From £230.00

For individuals, families or groups: Meet for approximately 2 hours at an agreed location (*) to take lifestyle shots. This will include informal and relaxed ‘documentary-style’ shots of people, objects and the surrounding environment in order to convey aspects of your lifestyle.

Pet portrait shoot

£100.00

Celebrate special relationships with loved pets, either in my studio, at your home or at a chosen location (within the local area*). Multiple pets may be included in one photoshoot. This photoshoot typically takes about 1 hour. As the owner, you may choose to be in the photographs or we can focus purely on your pets.

Usage Licence

I (Paul Armstrong / The Artistic Lens) confirm that you (the Client) are hereby licensed to reproduce and publish the Photographs, Worldwide and for an unlimited time period, under the above terms and conditions.

Under Clause 9 of the AOP Terms & Conditions 2016, no use may be made of the Photographs until the invoice has been paid in full.

Under the Copyright, Designs and Patents Act 1988, I (Paul Armstrong / The Artistic Lens) assert my moral right to be identified as the Author of the Photographs.

I confirm that subject to Clause 11 of the AOP (Association of Photographers) Terms & Conditions 2016, I shall not publish or supply the material to any other person for publication during the term of the licence, without your (the Customer's) express permission.
